Company Introduction

Enzipu's predecessor was the semiconductor division of Philips in the Netherlands.

In 2006, the business unit was separated from Philips and NXP Semiconductors - NXP Semiconductor was officially established. The name NXP comes from 'Next Experience' and retains Philips' genes, emphasizing that NXP has accumulated valuable experience and rich resources from the past 53 years at Philips.

At the beginning of the independence of NXP Semiconductor Company, CEO Richard Clemmer and the management team established the company's strategy to develop market leading and highly differentiated businesses and generate profits. In 2015, NXP merged with Freescale, another leading semiconductor company, to further expand its business in the Internet of Things and automotive field, and focused on the development of safe and reliable edge computing, connectivity technology and efficient power management solutions. And has established market leadership positions in key areas such as ADAS, next-generation electric vehicles, and secure connectivity across the Internet of Things, mobile devices, and automotive ecosystems.

In March 2020, the board of directors of NXP unanimously nominated Kurt Sievers, who is currently 50 years old, to serve as President and CEO. Kurt will replace Richard (Rick) Clemmer, who has been leading NXP since 2009. The board of directors of the company will propose this appointment at the annual general meeting of the company held on May 27, 2020. To ensure a smooth transition, Mr. Koleiming will continue to serve as a strategic advisor to Enzipu.

In China

Enzhipu's predecessor, the Philips Semiconductor Division, established an office in China in 1986.

In 2014, Enzipu and Datang Telecom Technology Co., Ltd. jointly established Datang Enzipu Semiconductor Co., Ltd.

2017; Enzhipu sold its voice and audio application solutions business to China Huiding Technology Company for $165 million.

In 2019, the signing ceremony of the "Investment Cooperation Agreement for Artificial Intelligence Application Demonstration Base Project" between the Tianjin Development Zone Management Committee and Enzipu Semiconductor Company was held on the 26th at the Tianjin Development Zone Investment Service Center, marking the settlement of the Enzipu Artificial Intelligence and Internet of Things demonstration project in the Tianjin Development Zone.

On May 5, 2023, NXP Semiconductor announced a partnership with NIO Motors, and NXP's 4D imaging radar products will be deployed on some NIO models.
