Yingren releases consumer-grade PCIe 5.0 SSD master controller YRS820: based on RISC-V architecture, integrating AI intelligent data acceleration

Yingren YRS820 main control adopts RISC-V instruction set architecture, equipped with 4-channel PCIe 5.0 interface and 8 NAND flash memory channels, supports NVMe 2.0 protocol, has a transmission rate of up to 2667MT/s, and can be used with 3D TLC/QLC NAND chips to provide Capacity up to 8TB.In terms of performance, YRS820 can achieve sequential reading of 14GB/s, sequential writing of 12GB/s, and random reading and random writing of up to 2000K IOPs and 1500K IOPs respectively.

Yingren Technology stated that YRS820 is mainly aimed at the high-end consumer market and has the following characteristics:

  1. Game performance upgrade: Built-in AI intelligent data acceleration improves performance while significantly reducing latency. Direct Storage technology can be used with high-performance graphics cards.
  2. Data processing acceleration: SSDs are designed to accelerate data processing for specific applications.
  3. Data encryption and decryption support: YRS820 adopts an independent safe island design and is responsible for user information and data security.

Last year, Yingren Technology released its first PCIe 5.0 enterprise-level SSD controller YRS900, which also uses RISC-V architecture.
