AMD RX 7900M GPU running exposure: Vulkan testing ultra mobile version RTX 4090 graphics card 9%

On November 17th, IT Home reported that AMD launched the Radeon RX 7900M mobile GPU based on RDNA 3 architecture in October this year, which was first launched by the Alien m18 game book. After the 3DMark run earlier this month, the GPU recently appeared in the GeekBench run point library, with Vulkan running points of 171430 and OpenCL running points of 144611.

In a single Vulkan API test, the performance of the Radeon RX 7900M is about 9% higher than that of the RTX 4090 laptop GPU; Compared to the mobile version of RTX 4090 in OpenCL benchmark testing, it is indeed about 25% behind. The RX 7900M is equipped with 72 computing units (out of 32 for the RX 7700S), with a maximum frequency of 2.09GHz, 16GB 256bit GDDR6 graphics memory, power consumption of 180W, so-called second-generation ray tracing function, and FSR 3.

This graphics card is positioned for high FPS 1440p (QHD) games rather than 4K. AMD claims that its frame rate is on average 7% higher than the RTX 4080, and it also has 4GB more graphics memory.

IT Home previously reported that in 3DMark TimeSpy, the graphics card score of the RX 7900M reached 19296 points, leading the mobile version RTX 4080 (18923 points) by 4%.

The AMD official also provided performance data for this graphics card, stating that in 1440p game testing, this graphics card leads the RTX by an average of 4080%.
