AMD's next-generation RDNA4 GPU "GFX1200/GFX1201" has been exposed and is now supported by Linux LLVM

According to the latest LLVM Project annotations, GFX1200 and GFX1201 based on AMD RDNA 4 architecture may correspond to Navi 44 and Navi 48.

Among these two GPUs, the GFX1200 ID was previously used for the Navi 41 SKU. Although there are reports that AMD has cancelled its high-end Navi 4X product line, these products were likely originally intended for the design of Navi 4C chips.

It is said that the company is currently focusing on high-end and mainstream markets. For AMD, the difference between its flagship and high-end products is that AMD likes to consider products priced above $500 (IT Home note: currently around 3580 RMB) as fever grade products, which often use top tier Navi x1 chips, but this time it may not.

According to AMD's plan, the next generation Radeon GPU series based on RDNA 4 architecture is expected to be launched in 2024 and will adopt new advanced process nodes. Stay tuned.
