2.5 PB capacity, Seagate releases new Exos CORVAULT data storage system

The Seagate Exos CORVAULT 4U106 utilizes Seagate's high capacity Exos hard drive and supports self-healing technology, reducing storage network resources by up to 50% and improving overall rack power efficiency by up to 30%. The self-healing capabilities of Seagate Autonomous Hard Drive Regeneration (ADR) and Advanced Distributed Autonomous Protection Technology (ADAPT) help reduce downtime and optimize data center resources, thereby reducing carbon footprint and electronic waste.

Seagate Exos CORVAULT 4U106 is now available in 2PB CMR hard drive models, and will also offer 2PB and 2.5PB HAMR configurations. Both new configurations of capacity can be ordered from global storage distributors in November, and the product will be available at the end of December.
