AMD Ryzen 8700G/8600G APU testing: Single core performance improved by about 30% compared to 5000G series

The test results show that the single core performance of the Ryzen 8000G series has improved by about 30% compared to the 5000G series. The AMD Ryzen 7 8700G APU has a base frequency of 4.2GHz and an acceleration frequency of 5.1GHz, while the Ryzen 5 8600G lacks two Zen4 cores, but it has a higher base frequency of 4.3GHz.Compared to R5 8600G, the single core performance of R7 8700G has been improved by about 10%, and the multi-core performance has been improved by about 25%.Both APUs have been tested on the AMD B650 platform and are equipped with DDR5-6400 memory. However, according to AMD, the sweet spot of this series of processors is about 6000 MT/s.Compared with the Zen3 based Ryzen 5000G series APU, its single core performance improvement is about 30-37%, and its multi-core performance improvement is 49-64%.
