It is reported that the Intel Arrow Lake-U processor will be used as a low-cost alternative to Lunar Lake, using the Intel 3 process

According to sources, Arrow Lake-U has remained relatively unchanged in terms of microarchitecture compared to the released Meteor Lake-U, but due to process improvements, performance can be improved by about 10% per watt under multi-core loads. According to foreign media Tom's Hardware, the CPU part of Lunar Lake will use an external TSMC N3B process. According to the current disclosure, Arrow Lake-U adopts internal Intel 3 technology, which is expected to reduce manufacturing costs.

Intel has explicitly stated at CES 2024 that the Lunar Lake mobile processor will be launched this year. As for the launch plan of Arrow Lake, it is somewhat complicated. According to the current summary of the revelations, it is expected that the desktop platform will be launched this year, while the mobile platform is planned to be launched next year.

Bionic Squash revealed that Arrow Lake-H, Arrow Lake-HX, and Arrow Lake-U mobile processors will all be launched at next year's CES 2025. Arrow Lake-H and Arrow Lake-HX both use TSMC N3B process, while Arrow Lake-U uses Intel 3 process. According to previous Intel official press releases, it is currently known that products that will adopt the Intel 3 process also include Intel Sierra Forest and Granite Rapids, two Xeon processors.
