AMD Zen6 Consumer CPU Latest News: Equipped with RDNA5 core display and supporting 2.5D interconnect technology

Zen5 will be released this year, and the first batch of products will include Granite Ridge CPU and Strix Point APU.

The current disclosure shows that Granite Ridge uses the same RDNA2 iGPU as Raphael, and both use similar IO Dies. The Strix Point series APU will have a more powerful display, adopting the design of Navi 3.5 (RDNA3.5).

The next generation product is the Zen6 architecture, codenamed "Medusa". Current rumors suggest that AMD will adopt 2.5D interconnect technology to replace traditional multi chip designs. This means that the connection speed between small chips in Zen6 processors will be significantly improved. In addition, Zen6 processors may adopt more advanced process nodes (possibly 3nm mixed with 2nm) and are expected to be launched as early as 2025/2026.
