NVIDIA Releases RTX 500/1000 Ada Notebook Professional Card, Providing Excellent Performance for Mobile Workstations

Nvidia claims that the all-new RTX 500 GPU can provide 14 times the generative AI performance of the previous generation (such as the Stable Diffusion model), with a 3 times increase in AI image editing speed and a 10 times increase in 3D rendering graphics performance compared to a CPU only configuration.

Nvidia stated that the RTX 500 and 1000 have introduced multiple latest technologies for lightweight laptops, including:

Third generation RT core: Provides twice the ray tracing performance compared to the previous generation, achieving realistic rendering effects.

Fourth generation Tensor core: Up to twice the throughput of the previous generation, accelerating deep learning training, inference, and AI based creative workloads.

Ada architecture CUDA core: Compared to the previous generation, it provides 30% single precision floating-point (FP32) throughput, significantly improving the performance of graphics and computing workloads.

GPU specific memory: The RTX 500 has 4GB of GPU memory, while the RTX 1000 has 6GB of memory to meet the needs of running demanding 3D and AI applications, processing larger projects, datasets, and multi application workflows.

DLSS 3: Introducing breakthrough AI graphics technology by generating additional high-quality frames to significantly improve performance.

AV1 Encoder: The eighth generation NVIDIA encoder (NVENC) supports AV1, with an efficiency improvement of 40% compared to H.264, bringing new possibilities for broadcasting, streaming, and video calls.

Nvidia stated that Windows laptops equipped with the new RTX 500 and 1000 professional cards will be launched this spring, including brands such as Dell, HP, Lenovo, and MSI.
