AMD believes that it has more advantages in frame generation technology than Nvidia

However, AMD's Aaron Steinman does not think so. He said, "Nvidia must now cooperate with our work and promote drive related solutions. I really want to know their current feelings.".

The driver based technologies mentioned by Steinman are AMD Fluid Motion Frames (AFMF) and Radeon Super Resolution (RSR), the former will be released in a preview version on January 24th, while the latter has already been launched.

Unlike FSR technology, AMD's above two technologies do not require developers to support these two technologies in games, and are to some extent applicable to most games.

Steinman continued, "I believe the benefits of DLSS are limited. Our solution has the advantages of being open source and cross vendor, and Nvidia either follows up to benefit from our solution or does similar things on its own.".

Taking "Avatar: Pandora's Border" as an example. This game offers AMD Frame Generation and FSR 3, but does not support DLSS, which means Nvidia GPU users must use AMD's upscaling technology.

On January 16th, it was reported that in the competition with Nvidia, AMD played a "catcher" role for most of the time, lagging behind Nvidia in super-resolution sharp drawing technology (FSR) and frame generation technology AFMF.
