Company Introduction

Micron Technology: Located in Boise, Idaho, USA, it was founded in 1978 by Ward Parkinson, Joe Parkinson, Dennis Wilson, and Doug Pitman. In 1981, it established its own wafer manufacturing plant.

Meiguang also acquired Rendition Company in 1998 to manufacture 3D acceleration chips. In 2002, Micron was embroiled in a memory price manipulation scandal. Meiguang first established a factory in Xi'an, China on March 21, 2007, mainly producing DRAM and NAND flash memory.

Development History

In August 2022, Meiguang Technology announced that its high-performance LPDDR5 DRAM memory and UFS 3.1 product based on 3D TLC NAND technology have been applied to the latest full-size intelligent flagship SUV model of Ideal Automobile - Ideal L9.

On March 31, 2023, the Cybersecurity Review Office launched a cyber security review of Meiguang's products sold in China.

On April 24, 2023, India was close to approving a proposal from Micron Technology to invest nearly $1 billion in the construction of an Assembly, Testing, Labeling, and Packaging (ATMP) factory in the country.

In May 2023, Wu Mingxia became the General Manager of Meiguang China and continued to serve as the Vice President of DRAM Packaging and Testing Operations.
