It is reported that Nvidia is preparing RTX 4090 D (ragon) graphics cards for Chinese players

On November 30th, Wccftech claimed that their sources indicated that NVIDIA is about to launch a new special GPU for Chinese players.

This special GPU is called GeForce RTX 4090 D ("D" may represent Dragon like AMD RX 470D, after all, next year belongs to the Year of the Dragon, also known as the Year of the Dragon).

This is a Chinese exclusive model based on the new AD102 design, designed to be shipped as a replacement for RTX 4090.Undoubtedly, the main goal of this new GPU is to meet the export restrictions of the United States on Total Processing Performance (TPP) of 4800 points. Although US regulatory agencies have not previously explicitly restricted the consumer grade RTX 4090, Nvidia is clearly hesitant to try in this regard.

The card will inevitably need to make some compromises to meet the export restrictions of TPP 4800 points, so the CUDA core specifications or frequency may be affected.

It is worth noting that TPP includes all computing power, not just single precision, but also semi precision and double precision. However, considering Nvidia's expertise in "knife techniques", foreign media believe that they can meet export standards without seriously affecting game performance.

Wccftech stated that the price of this new product is reportedly on par with the RTX 4090 non D model, which is $1599.
